Dear valued patients:
As most of you know, I have taken time off from my practice this year. During this time I have reflected on my career path. I have been able to objectively assess whether a small private practice is viable in today’s medical environment of high overhead expenses, insurance regulations, etc. Sadly, I have concluded that returning as a solo practitioner will not be professionally rewarding. And, unfortunately there are no alternative practice opportunities for me in Cobb County or surrounding areas.
I have been offered and I have accepted a permanent position in Florence, South Carolina at the Medical University of South Carolina – Florence Medical Center. As a board certified Urogynecologist, my practice there will focus on Urogynecology which is the care of urinary incontinence and surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. I will also have the opportunity to teach young physicians in training which has long been one of my career goals.
I am excited about this new opportunity in a location with a large need and with the backing and financial support of a hospital system. At the same time I will truly miss my patients here in Cobb and Paulding, many of whom have been with me for 30 years. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve you. I hope the care you received from me met your standards.
